Approximately 93 km. away from Cebu City, bounded by the municipalities of Dalaguete to the north,
Boljo-on to the south, Badian and Alegria to the west, and Cebu Strait to the east.
History:
It is named after Alcoi (a
city of Spain),when Spaniards came to the place during the Spanish era,
some of them said that the place remind them of Alcoi, Spain, because
of its green and lushes environment,the simplicity of the place and the
inhabitants. From then on, the place was called Alcoy (native slang of
Alcoi).
